We are located on Maplemeade, Bishopston, Bristol, BS7 8JG, which is the cul-de-sac to the left of Kings Drive on the map.
Kings is a friendly, historic tennis club in the heart of Bristol. Tennis has been played on the site since 1894 and the present club came into being with the merging of 3 clubs -Beresford, Elm Grove and Beaumont.
COURTS
The club has 7 hard courts including 2 first class acrylic courts. 5 of the courts are floodlit. The courts are accessible all year round including Christmas Day!
BAR AND COFFEE SHOP
We have a Bar and Coffee Shop open at peak periods and on request. Breakfast is served every Saturday morning from 9.30am-11.00am. The bar serves a selection of bottled beers and fine wines.
CLUB HOUSE
The clubhouse has changing facilities, showers, and a large function room. The clubhouse is available to hire at reasonable rates. Please contact a member of the committee for more details.
TENNIS
Tennis leagues run throughout the year. The summer league is the most popular with four men and five ladies teams. Junior league matches take place in the summer. Social and coached sessions also take place throughout the year. The club has an annual club tournament and Xmas doubles event and there is a singles ladder. We also host regular junior rating matches.
SOCIAL
The club runs various social events for all ages. Including Quiz Nights, Wine tastings and Curry Nights. And of course a Christmas party. During the summer league season there is food at the club every Friday night and much-relaxed post-match analysis.
